Tartan Day - April 6, 2002
On April 6th, New York City celebrated Tartan Day with a parade of 10,000 pipers.
Tartan Day is a Scottish holiday (Declaration of Arbroath, the Scottish Declaration of Independence) which was signed on April 6, 1320.
I had a great time in NYC hanging out with family and friends, and of course 10,000 pipes! :-) I took 55 pictures, they are high-resolution pictures (1280x960) which means they may take a while to download if you use a dial-up connection. Also, you can look at the EXIF data from the pictures.
